Hi all

I am getting married on Sat 26th July in Leicester.

Was wondering if anybody wanted the gig doing table magic/mentalism at the reception?

I cant afford to pay a massive amount tho.

This could be a good oportunity to gain some experience, id do it myself but im nowhere near ready to perform...

Presumably you'd be busy on the day.

Seriously though, most (all?) of the professional magicians on here would expect to be paid their full fee, which is why I suspect you've heard nothing. I would recommend searching for one through something like the Yellow Pages, or pehaps the magician's directory:

It varies a lot.

I'm going to take a complete stab in the middle and say it'll be around £100 per hour, or part thereof, plus expenses.

I have only five gigs under my belt, and yet I don't charge much less than this.

It would probably be argued that £300 for a few hours work would be little out of the budget for a typical wedding and would bring benefits far beyond the cost.

Also, do you really want someone to 'cut their teeth' at your own wedding? You don't want your guests to remember the reception for all of thr wrong reasons if it happens to go wrong.
