Tricks N Tracks

Postby magicmarkdaniel » Feb 11th, '04, 13:53

Does anybody remember the BBC kids show Tricks N Tracks. A number of series were broadcast around 1992/3/4 i think. It was presented by Sally Gray and featured Russ Stevens performing an illusion every week. Would anybody know wether this programme is available on Video/DVD or does anybody have videos of the programme they would be willing to sell for a reasonable price? PM me with details. Cheers!

Recently i saw on line a video for sale with a photo of a young Paul Zennon, who hosted this program. He's on the cover with the two robot characters.
I have most of these on video in my collection, and have to say, they are so very dated.

The robots were called "Adam and Eve".

If you think Paul looked young then, how about when he did the two series of "Tricky Business"?

As I recall it, "Tricks 'n' Tracks" wasn't that good a series at the time. It had some good magic, but the format was a bit tooth-grinding.

Maybe that was just me.

Yeh it was more of a kids show but featured Russ Stevens doing illusions such as the Slicer and his version of the Disembodied Princess with two huge scissor-type things that were on a timer and smashed into the box if my memory serves?! Originally had the programmes on video that I recorded when it was aired. Been in touch with the BBC about it and they have no records of the programme (?). Had forgotton Paul Zennon was a presenter, just remember the luvly Sally Gray. I thought it was a great programme at the time, much better than the Quick Trick Show (sorry Stephen Mulhern fans).

Hi

I know this is a pretty old topic now and everyones probably cursing me for resurecting it  but was just sifting through the archives and noticed it...

I loved that show...sad i know...but my point here is (and yes i do have one) that i dont have the full series, but i do have every clip of russ stevens from when he was on it....

...don't know if this is any help, but I'm sure i could stick them altogether on a tape if this is wot you're after...

I think this came up on a search on Amazon that I did a while back but I remember seeing Paul Zennon with two robots.

Then again this could be my mind playing tricks with me. Again.

All the best,
