make it about her if you absolutely MUST do a trick. something akin to an appearing rose. and dont try to show off, or use it in place of conversation.

I have been into magic since I believe i was 7. I have practiced many close up tricks but never performed them since i wasnt getting to well know and it really wasnt my type. I then started to get into simple stage magic, i was asked to perform over and over, not im into a few large stage illusions. I have know that girl half my life. And she knows WELL that i perform magic regularly and has been to a few of my shows. She will also in the future be appart of my show as an assistant, or so i hope.

Im not here to show off, or show my skills of what i can do.
I just want to do some nice magic just to show how much i care.
I present with style and with stories to go along with the magic.
I just love performing magic and sharing it with those that i care about.

But what about some stuff to do at home that you cant really use anything you already got?

Also, making the rose apprear i will definately do! I just remembered the trick, where you have a ball of flash paper that levitates, then you change it into a rose, it floats, and then light it and it turns to a real rose. I can do something like that but without the levitation part.

What would you think of Ladybug?

When talking to the person say you are an animal lover etc. then go on and at random take the knife and cut yourself and turn it into a lady bug.
saying it is one of the most beautiful insects, etc.

would that be alright?
even though the price is fairly high?

or is that just pushing it?

Also, i found the appearing wine bottle (non gimmicked)
i forget what the gimmick is called to product the bottle. It goes inside your jacket.
Or instead of a full wine bottle, produce a wine glass full of wine.

All under one silk shown all around.

ladybug..dont you think thats just a little creepy to show how much you like someone? i cut myself and a bug comes out...

silks may be too cheesey...i still say go with the shaved bottom ploy...

maybe, if you really must, is buy some FUSE liquid, and paint the outline of a heart on some read crepe paper, write in the centre "i give you my heart" and light it...to see the heart outline slowly burn the heart shape out in front of her eyes...

still to cheesey though...just say "oy luv, nice ar*e...how about it?"

Is it the first time you've taken this lady out? If so then I'd say please don't do any magic, it makes you look like you're trying too hard to impress and that's one of the biggest turn offs going.

On the other hand, if you've known her for a while and it's a special date then one thing that might work really nicely could be to buy her a little something (ring, necklace, flowers, bottle of champagne etc) and produce it in a magical way.

As for the ladybug idea, ummm no.

I like the old ring to rose in seal vase type thing, that might be romantic?

I'd probably go for loops... take her hand, tell her that yours and her body energy combined can move things, and then make a napkin tip over, a fork move or one of her rings float... or if you plan to give her an engagement ring anyway, make that one float into her hand

using IT, i love it, but im unaware of the lighting conditions.
Most places I have tested it out is very hard to make it invisible or less visible.

This is not a first time out. Its an anniversary type. I wanted to produce something and give it to her. I was thinking of the rose. And using a similar way as floating rose by kevin james to produce it.

You've already got the bottle, what about the production of a corkscrew? Most resturants will have glasses at the table and voila!

If you're set on producing a glass of wine there is a basic version in Mark Wilson's Complete Course (pg. 363).
