I'm trying to find a disappearing ink pen for something I'm working on, but it's proving hard.

I know there are pens sold in dressmaking shops that disappear when exposed to air, but they take 24-48 hours, which is too long for what I want.

There's Frixion pens, but they're no good either because the ink needs to disappear without me 'doing' anything.

I've seen a couple of websites selling 'disappearing ink pens' but they're either stupidly expensive, or on really dodgy looking sites I wouldn't like to order from.

I was thinking about joke shop disappearing ink, as it 'disappears in minutes', which is what I want, but that only seems to come in little bottles.

Have any of you ever had any luck using it with a pen, or know if it's even possible to write with it? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

you may want to check out Perfectly Predicted by kenton knepper for ideas....other than that, we have to be very careful what info we reveal in case we tip new or old effects that may still be out on the market that uses similar thinking...

Yeah, Perfectly Predicted is where I found out about one of the types of pen mentioned in my post.

I'll be giving the joke shop stuff a shot...

Alternatively, get a cartridge pen and fill it with the invisible ink from the joke shop. I guess that it'd still work.
Either one of the older style pens that sucks up the ink, or empty a genuine ink cartridge and fill with invisible ink

I think invisible ink is fairly watery it may just flow out the pen you are using as you fill it up. But hey, never hurts to try and find out. Don't have to worry about a mess as it will be 'invisible'

Some of the dressmakers' markers go invisible instantly with a little moisture, if you can work that into whatever you intend to do.
