Cry Baby by precision magic

Postby I.D » Jul 24th, '08, 22:47

I dont really want a review.. but..

spiel

Imagine having the ability at any time during your act or routine, to cry a single tear or a Mountain of tears. Yep you heard that right. Now during a touching moment you are able to turn on the tears at will. This is not a learned technique but an actual product that once applied will let tears well up in your eyes within 30 to 90 seconds of the application being used.

1) This sounds like what would happen if I tried putting eye drops in my eyes!!

2) What use does this have in magic? who would just start crying in their act and why would spectators find it amazing?? :?

'OH MY GOD.. you're crying!! How the hell do you do that!!??? '

maybe im missing something..

A Vick menthol nasal inhaler stick held briefly under the eye will produce plenty of tears. It can be hidden in something like a TT and used 'invisibly'!

No idea why you'd want to do it though  .

yeah you a little mate...

imagine doing something very emotive, a living and dead test, a reading of a thought..something like that...white star is a good example i suppose...

as you get to the big finish/reveal/apex of the effect...a few tears run down your cheek as you say that person's name...

now, with all that said, obviously not for everyone...and, if you're like me and wear contact lenses - i think you'll hit a problem...some of the smelling receptors in your face are actually somewhere between the eyes/bridge of the nose...

if you've ever cut onions while wearing contact lenses - you'll note that you don't cry...that's cos of some wierd blocking off of those receptors near your eyes...

if i dont wear contacts, the item works...but i wear those 30 day continuous use ones so i won't/can't use this...

there you go!

Agreed. I can see it being a great tool in bizarre magick, providing you use it subtly and don't draw attention to it.

I hadn't realised that there was a restriction with contacts.

Rules me out then!

hmm..

i can see where its 'uses' lie.. after your comments Iain..

maybe Im only of this opinion as I can cry on cue anyway.. true enough.. I could spark a flood of tears that would make observers think someone had died then burst into laughter at the same time to really confuse people.

Yeh I can see where it would add effect to an emotionally charged piece of mind reading though, if perhaps revealing the name of someone who had died or doing a reading based on such, as you said...

ok, I had missed something.. but I could bring on the tears without paying for it.. I have a rather good technique that I came up with years ago ( before magic ) to help me shed plenty tears on cue.. I can actually feel the pain/hurt for a few moments while the tears come.. then 'come back' tears a flooding and double up emotions with whatever other emotion im feeling, happiness etc

I may share this technique if you might find it useful, and contacts wouldntbe a problem
