Misomer Murders tonight Sunday

Postby themagicwand » Jul 27th, '08, 20:18

Just started on ITV1. I'm recording it. Looks fun. A magician's assistant is murdered by the use of a poisonous frog, and the investigators must infiltrate the murky world of the Midsomer magic circle. Already we have a debunker/skeptic, and believer in real magic, a tacky magic show in a village hall, and "You Only Live Twice" being played on the pan pipes. You can't argue with it.

I have to admit I don't really watch Midsomer Murders. Not because it's not good, but because there are always too many different characters to keep track of. (I have serious problems with face recognition.) But my husband is a fan of the series, so I half-follow the storylines.

This episode included stage magic, occultism, cult debunking, AND a massive collection of rare books. I'm beginning to think ITV is stalking me. Not that I have a massive collection of rare books, but I'd like one.

it was a bit of fun. And, i noticed that the magic advisor was John Styles.

which was nice.

All the midsommer murders are filmed in and around where i live.

the hall used in this one, is one ive worked on a few times over the years.

and the book shop, is where i pick up some nice collectable magic books now and again.

( its in Eton high street)

as is the pub where Hugo staggers out before falling in teh broken glass.

Ive had a great evening or three in there. :)

this will tell all...
