My "New super cool card trick"

Postby thebigcheese » Aug 16th, '08, 12:02

Was trying out a new version of a card to mouth im working on one of my workmates yesterday.

At one stage I had them to select and return "their" card to the deck, followed by them shuffle the deck themselves. Halfway through their basic cack handed overhand shuffle a d*******e card fell out of the deck and onto the table by pure accident and they genuinly thought it was part of the trick and the signed card also in my mouth at the same time!!

They couldnt get their head round I did it and keep going on about me repeating it! Good job you dont show someone a trick more than once eh?!!

Hehe, how strange.

I've sometimes accidentally dropped a single card out of the deck during a shuffle - normally if I'm going a bit too fast. If it ever happens in performance I think I'll spare my blushes by saying something like "It all got a bit too much for the 3 of Spades!" (substitute whichever card falls out). Or maybe (addressing the card) "Fool! You'll never make it on your own!"

Made me chuckle! I'm going to have to start using those

How about looking at the card and yelling:

"Thats right run, run save yourself"

"See? this trick is so bad even the cards are abandoning ship"

"There is one in every crowd"
