Wow, but if you look at the gymnastics all around women's final. If you look at the China who got bronze, you can tell her smiles are forced. When they handed her flowers she smiled and took them but when the guy walked away, there was a look of absolute fear on her face. It was scary.


On a happier note the american announcers said the the foot prints were computer generated.

The firework footprints were really launched, but the TV footage was mocked up with CGI because they weren't sure a helicopter could film the real ones the way they wanted to show them. Here's the Telegraph's report.

This fellow's having fun spotting "subliminally implanted logos" in the opening ceremony. (Website is in Chinese, but you can follow it from the pictures.) Makes me want to go out and find logos around here.
