Magic Competitions...

Postby juggletimeJames » Aug 25th, '08, 13:26

Hi,

Does anyone know of a Magic competition of any kind in the UK over the next couple of months?

How are competitions judged? Obviously there must be a competition for Best trick/show etc but are they judged in any other way?

Cheers, Juggletime

What you need to look for is where the up and coming magic conventions are being held and this is your starting place for finding competitions. if you Google magic conventions you should get a list.

However, you will need to qualify for most competitions and as an example, next Januarys Southern Magic Convention you need to have won your magic Society's competition which means that you will need to join one in order to enter.

As for rules, the are often posted and will include the marking criteria. If you've not entered a competition before and are planning to do so then it may be a good plan to join your local club.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
