It was good fun.
I'm still wondering if I should call the news desk at the Manchester Evening News and offer them the story, or maybe pitch to write it myself. We could get a headline like "No Magic Allowed" and a picture of us all on the pavement outside, pointing at the place and looking glum!
"A group of local conjurers was stunned on Saturday afternoon to be frogmarched out of The Brunswick pub in Piccadilly after the manager suddenly became aggressive towards them.
'He said we needed a licence to be there, but when we asked why we needed one to sit and chat amongst ourselves, he started shouting and calling us unreasonable. I think he was frightened we'd turn him into a toad,' laughed one highly attractive and erudite member of the immensely well-behaved and good-looking group.
When they asked if they could have their money back for the food and rink they'd ordered, the manager's tirade continued. 'We were verbally abused and told not to return.' Leave they did and will not be returning."
Etc.

True, true, but that was another, far nicer pub. Can you imagine how the Brunswick manager would have reacted if we'd made even a tiny bit of smoke?

(I posted a rather bad joke that was written badly, but deleted it apparently after tomo replied. Whoops. Let's see if I can make it funnier this time, just pretend this was posted before Tomo's reply)

Well behaved? I don't think the staff at the Crown and Anchor would say so. There was setting things on fire, breaking cutlery in half (and attempting similar with sharpies) and throwing playing cards around.
And that was just Amy!
