I had the most fun ever today. There was this girl, a good friend of mine, who i reallly wanted to hypnotise.

She had her fingers in her ears, so I actually managed to hypnotise her without saying a word. I held onto both her shoulders and just looked her dead in the eyes. She went under.

Man this book is fun!

I made her forget the number 7, then made me invisible, and made a small figurine of a cat fly in front of her...needless to say that she freaked. I'm going to read her mind tomorrow!

"No matter what I say, you will believe that I am correct..." ;)

Man, I am having so much fun with this book I am well chuffed!

And to hypnotise someone just by holding their shoulders and looking them in the eyes!

Man, this is fun...people are starting to think I am very accomplished!

At this rate, the authorities will be applying a restraining order on Chris very soon!

well what can I say?

I seem to have a mental block on anybody in my flat. 3 of them are females who reallly wanted to be hypnotised, yet I just couldn't get them under! Couldn't even make their arm lock.

It seems I am getting to the stage within a month where I can hypnotise nearly anyone who asks, or who I want to, but not anyone in my flat! Even thoguh they know I can do it!

Ah well...I'm gonna hypnotise that girl later to think it's a good idea to go food shopping with me, it'll be nice to have someone to go with considering all my flat have gone home this week, and I couldn't be assed with the travelling.

Either way, restraining order? I'm just giving my honest experiences since getting this book :P

Any advice with the girls in my flat Mr Jacquin? No matter how certain and forceful I'm being, I can;t even get the third set piece to work! I decided to carry on anyway, but just couldn't get them under!

Love

Jacquin, thanks for your reply. It's always great when authors take the time to get involved with magic forums. I am defintely going to purchase this book as soon as my Paypal funds replenish. Shouldn't be too long now...

Yes indeed Reverse Mind Reading. One of my favorite routines. Make sure you say tell her that she will be more amazed with every subsequent revelation.

I also find it helps if you tell her (when she is under) that you are an incredible mind reader. When she wakes up suggest that you are going to try and read her mind.

You can start cults with just this one technique.

Perhaps this is similar to the problem one can have with perfroming magic or reading minds or doing the tarot on people who know you well (close friends & family in particular). They are very aware that you are not THE HYPNOTIST or THE MINDREADER etc. They're all too aware that you are in fact plain old you who picks his nose and farts in bed.

A lot of baggage to get through before you even start your "routine".

Mine arrived yesterday before lunch. 5 minutes later had to catch the bus in to get to work for a late shift. Went through a few bits of it there, until one guy decided to do the Kenny from Little Britain sketch constantly (e.g. I return from break to him going "3 2 1, you're back in the room"). Got my own back a bit later by sabotaging his phone and computer on his break and "Kenny"ing him that he would have a really bad rest of shift.
There are just some things that the book can't help with...

When I got home, I found the book to be more informative than I actually thought it would be (I've been burned before with tutorial books before), and now all I have to do is remember what I am meant to say at each part. Can't wait to try it on someone, I just have to be confident enough that it will work first...

the first time is the hardest, when you aren't sure if it will work...

I just had a bit more fun. made a girl think she was absolutely dying for the loo (but wont wet herself), but was stuck to the bed!

She laughed afterwards though :D

Hey guys!
I just finished the book and i really liked it! All the potential within this book is quire scary actually :P The way it was written and organized was very good aswell! Thanks alot mr Jacquin!

As i am quite a newbie on this grounds and never experienced hypnosis I find it very hard to belive this to be true. No disrespect mr Jacquin, ive seen some of your work before and Im very impressed, I just need to try them out myself! Guess my brother is going to be my first victim :)

I read through this thread and the only persons who are sharing ther experiences are, of cours, mr Jacquin and "Blapsing_Beard". Aren't there anybody else that have tryed this yet? Please share with us, im sure there are others like me! :)

Regards,
~M~

Hi Maxbeat,

thanks for giving me your first impressions.

You can find a ton of reviews and people who are using this on
Uncommonforum and plenty on the magic cafe and a few on magic bunny.

Get out there persist until you have success and then milk it until what seemed impossible becomes possible.

In the meantime if you have questions let me know.

Blapsing_Beard, i do hope we never see you on Crimewatch. And that the girls you live with do not start jamming chairs under their door handles.

And no, that wasn't a euphemism. Or a youth-a-mism. This book does sound rather good though. I've read the reviews over at the Magic Cafe.

(I do hope mentioning other magic fora is not a breach of the rules. Please it or private message me if so and i shall delete.)

well.. I gave it a go 2day...

Before I continue, I should point out I've actually hypnotised someone (my girlfriend) before, using the 'conventional' methods outlined in Tranceformations etc. you know, the long, drawn out ones that take a while to get them under. I've only ever gone for the lifting of the arm ideomotor hypnotic phenomena which I found amazing as the subject (my girlfriend) claims she wasnt in control of her arm as it lifted. I actually used the 'spiel' outlined in Derren Brown's Tricks Of The Mind book (in the garden, balloons attatched to the wrist) and it worked really well. Needless to say this was months ago and haven't really touched hypnosis since as I lost confidence in it the more I didn't do it.

So then comes Reality Is Plastic.. I read it through once, soaked it in and wondered if I'd ever try anything as I just seem to lack confidence in trying it for the first time, worrying I'd have a mental block after the set pieces of what to say, to get some phenomena happening and to test it confidently. I'd planned to try something after watching the accompanying DVD and gaining confidence in seeing someone actually do it but I left it in work and had the day off 2day so was without it. I'll try it anyway I thought!

So then comes the girlfriend. I quickly read over what to say again and did the finger exercise.. ok, it works.. I went fot the hand magnets.. ok, this is good.. then just went off on my own, making it up as I went along, bringing her in and out of hypnosis going deeper and deeper etc. hoping to get her into a profound state. I did notice she looked uncomfortable as I did it all. I then went for the stiff arm which actually worked but then chaos.. her eyes just burst into tears. She didn't make a sound but tears streamed from her face. Oh Sh*t..

I quickly brought her back and she said she just didnt like it because her body was heavy in the seat and as I kept touchin her to relax she felt she woz fighting to sit up and panicked. She said she can't even remember the stiff arm bit (amnesia?) just remembers me being aggressive and really uncomfortable. Whoops.. so I thought.. what did I do wrong?.. Of Course! I didnt reassure her properly! I remember doing it at the end but not the beginning and all the way through. Saying "well done, you're doing really well.. you've got a good imagination" etc.

So I thought stuff it, I feel really bad and I look bad, haha. I gotta try this again but this time at a relaxed pace, with plenty of encouragement and have her lying on the bed. So I did it all again, this time without the set pieces, basically just had her staring at her hand and going under. With loads of encouragement I went for the face and hand magnet and the sticking of it to her forehead. It worked, her hand was stuck to her forehead and then had her open her eyes and do it, and was still stuck. So I thought excellent, I'll bring her back, and I did. Bear in mind, I did this with loads of encouragement and gave her the option that if she didnt like it at anytime, she could open her eyes and it would be over.

I brought her back and she said she really enjoyed it that time. Thank god for that. I'm gonna try it again on her tomorrow after watching the DVD and maybe go for some negative hallucinations or something. I've got a lot to learn but feel more confident now. Poor girl..
