On this evenings Paul O Grady show, Keith Barry once again found himself on the seat, this time with Jackie Collins, and Mel B.

in his 4 minute slot he rattled through some reasonably powerfull mental magic. I use teh word ratlle , because as per usual, the time limit didnt really give him enough time to do any of the routines justice.
in the brief amount of time he performed Ted Leselys " the sough of horses wings, from Paramiracles, Annemans the phantom artist, from p.m.m, using a nice , clean persuasive tool, to get mel b to name Elvis. He then turned to Paul, and had a locked box opened, inside a deck of cards, and a small pil box. prior to the box being opened, ( the box had been in ogradys hands for a week by the way) he had Paul name a card. this card turned out to be teh only one reversed in the deck. No great mystery there i grant you, but it did serve a purpouse.
the pil box, was opened by ogrady. and he removed from it a sheet of folded paper.
this had on it some half a dozen or more predictions from todays daily star.
now, for me this effect would of been a million times better if he had only predicted teh one headline.
this was a clasic case of over egging the pudding, and to me it demonstrated that less is more in mentalism.
but. it was still a very good clean way of performing the news paper prediction, because it was only on watching the footage back, that i realised what he did.

I liked it a lot, far more than his previous appearance, but I thought his ID handling was a bit pony. Fair play to him though.

Gutted I missed this and forgot to set Sky to record it.. i'll keep an eye out on youtube but a couple of lay friends have rang me and were quite impressed!

what a bloody silly title... "hypnomagician ".

At least Derrens billing,( which has clearly influenced this) Made some sense.

yeah he's gotta get some new ideas or tricks but fair play to him he's getting the exposure

proof positive that the oGrady show was edited.

note that now, hes having a card chosen first. the box is sitting to his side, which sugests that he will touch it before opening.
