Jumbo Coins, Euro vs Dollar

Postby Figaro » Oct 29th, '08, 07:53

Hello!

I was practicing my coin routines, and i was thinking of adding a Jumbo coin after I witnessed a Friend perform a nice routine with his Jumbo Coin(half dollar i guess?)

Now the thing is; Hes American, so he uses half dollars.

so it changes into a Jumbo Half dollar. which is a perfect size in my opinion.

im not sure about the measurements but i guess its about.. 3 to 4 inch or something?

But Im using euro coins instead. Because Imfrom Europe. and I dont want to have the same thing as my friend. And currently im travelling through Asia, so it would be unique to show the people 2 Euro coins.

So i Was really happy they even had 2 euro Jumbo Coins.

but the weird thing is. After searching a lot of internet stores...

The come in really strange sizes? I dont understand. so here it is;

-they have the 2 euro Economy Jumbo coin which is only 2.75 inch or something.(in my opinion just to small to make a big final impression or climax to your coin routine..? it only double the size. it doesnt feel big at all...?) its not too expensive though. around 15 pounds.

-the second choice;

a 5 inch Jumbo 2 euro coin.. 5 inch..?? thats waaaay too big in my opinion.

I couldnt palm such a huge coin. I mean its really big. I wouldnt know how you would secretly squeeze it into my routine.

Now I could somehow find a way. But it just irritates me?

and another strange thing. the second coin; they way they describe it its way more like a real 2 euro coin.. also a lot more expensive too; 50 pounds!!!

i dont understand why they dont sell the normal 3 to 4 inch jumbo 2 euro coins like the half dollar ones..

after some searching on punguin as well i suddenly found this as well; it says 3 in the title( which maybe is 3 inch? i dont know)

but does look beautifull and is only 40 dollar.

What do you guys think is he best choice?
here are the links;

Hi! Maybe you could write to the shops e-mail, and ask them. And I really like the 2 euro one. Im a us currency person, so I would go for the halfs, but if youre a euro person, you should go for the euro... and maybe do some more research, and try to find a cheaper one. If you scroll down here- http://www.donsmagic.com/yee/Saccessories.htm , you will find a 7 cm one..which could be enough....and they also sell a holder which is very handy- it is very easy to palm from the holder.

It doesnt matter.what creates the impact with the production of a jumbo coin, is the size, not what it looks like.

however, personaly id use a u.s coin, because audiences are more tuned into the way they look.And from a short distance they can be confused as a uk coin.

as to palming a 5" coin.. You can.

coins of that size can be held in tenkai against the body with few angle issues. not in close up mind.
if this is being done close up, i sugest that you look into bottle productions, and go from there.
