After requesting a review of this item, I decided to get it myself so I'll write my own review here!

Review

They say: "Your volunteer takes part in a test to check whether they have the ‘synchronicity’ with you that is necessary to take part in a series of psychic experiments.

They are handed 5 jumbo sized ESP cards, they mix them up, they chose one at random. They mix them again and hold them fanned out face down in front of themselves. You now instruct them to drop the cards face down one by one until they are holding just one face down ESP card.

You ask them to name the ESP card they they chose and they do so. Now you ask them to turn over the ESP card they they are holding and it is the one they they chose at random.

Throughout this presentation you emphasise that THEY have chosen the Tarot [sic] card, and also that THEY have handled the cards THEMSELVES and that THEY mixed them up.

There are NO forces involved. Everything can be examined afterwards.

Comes with a velvet drawstring bag with 5 pointed star on it to keep the ESP card in - very stylish"

I say: This is nothing short of brilliant - so Kudos to you Keith!
I was a little concerned when I read the method but decided to try it out before making a judgement.
Tried this on my girlfriend and at the revelation she dropped the card in disgust, and said I was Satan. Possibly a fairly strong reaction but always nice for that to be the first thing said to you about an effect!

The method is super sexy with NO funny moves, no weird maths effects or anything and absolutely NO forces - you genuinely don't know which card they picked until they tell you.

The absolute best thing about this is you can do the effect with ANYTHING; photo's, playing cards, birthday cards, scraps of paper with people's names on a la "Living and Dead Test"

The bag that comes with this is also of nice quality and will hold my rune cards nicely - so really I was getting two thigs for the price of one!

Overall

I want to say 10/10 because this effect is so good and so versatile but I can think of a couple of really small things which would make it even better.

I'll have to settle for a 9/10 I'm afraid!

The method is totally lovely, as EckoZero has said but now it has got even better! Because now you CAN divine the card they picked before they tell you, if you so wish.
The effect is now called Synchronicity Plus and has even more kick to it than before, and I seem to be fortunate enough to be one of the first to recieve the new deluxe version.
And Mr Hart hasn't even put the price up!
For someone who purports to be walking In The Shadow of Darkness, the Black Hart seems to be a very fair and spiffing chap!

ordered last night and received 2 e-mails today one of which saying it was dispatched! First time form these guys, and with results like this, most probably not the last!

Last time I ordered from Black Hart was at 11pm at night. It was dispatched by 8am the next morning. I don't think the guy sleeps.

Damn you Talk Magic, another site rammed full of treats for me spend on. This actually got me pretty excited, none of the normal stuff you see on every magic site. I've got my eye on a few things on there now 'A Drink With Death' for one & if the handling for 'Synchronicity' will allow the things written in this review then that's also on the list.

Can somebody please tell me that this would be totally unsuitable for a table hopping act which tends towards the mindreading type of effects please?

This works just as well with, ooh, I don't know, a set of major arcana cards should anyone be thinking of putting a small tarot routine together for table hopping Johnny??? Would make a smashing "add-on" to what we've already discussed.

Thank you for that Russ. You see I only sell my own effects. Black Artefacts does not wholesale to other dealers and I don't buy wholesale from the big magic warehouses. All the effects on Black Artefacts' website have come from the dark depths of my own brain (with the occasional bit of outside inspiration). I have spawned them, developed them, tested them and manufactured them myself.

...and there is another one due to reach the end of it's gestation period very soon.
