Back briefly...and with a competition

Postby IAIN » Nov 13th, '08, 00:01

Yes, yes...back for a short while - and i thought i'd offer up a competition, a la Queen of Clubs, and Dat...

Unfortunately - my prize that i am offering, may be worthless to you...as it's an early copy of a small book i've been working on for a while now.

The Games People Play...

Its now been proofed, i've gotten some quotes and all that jazz...so its not just me who likes it...

anyway, i would ask that non-mentalists do not enter, not out of snobbery - but because the material just wouldn't work for a magician...

but i suppose, i can't really stop you entering - just trying to save you wasting your time!

So, here's my competition question/dare for you....

 I want you to describe some kind of magic/mentalism effect, that you feel would be performed by a centaur...

I will be the judge, and i will send the one and only winner a copy via email - closing date next saturday. No multiple entries, or re-editing your posts...you dirty cheats...

ta :)

I understand that centaurs are good at divination, so I will have to go with mind-reading.

The mists are not clearing. I cannot see if I am wrong or if I am right...

BTW Iain old bean, that book on seances that I was always threatening is now...complete. Hurrah! :D

Look forward to reading your book. You've been missed around these here parts.

Untamable wild magic. Doing what they please when they please. They can read the stars telling them what's to come. Yet they can't change it if they were to change it, the universe would alter itself so the same outcome would occur.

They can also move objects with their minds. If there as a large boulder or tree blocking their path, they will move it. They can also destroy enemies with arrows. They send they arrows with their minds at their enemies.

Thus they are undefeatable yet choose to avoid contact with humans. They let them go about their own buissness which is why they don't dominate the earth.

They also fortell that I will receive an email from someone on this fourm very soon. :P

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

I predict Ian is not going to win.

It'd clearly be some kind of glitzy stage levitation. A member of the audience could sit on his (the centaur's) back, they'd do some impressive balancing first on 3 legs, 2 legs etc, then steadily lift all their legs up completely, floating in the air.

Another member of the audience would be invited to run underneath them to confirm the miracle. If they promised not to pull on his dong.

Grab a bloke and horse, throw them in a great fat old change bag, and out comes the centaur!

POOF!

the performer has five people write down a name of a person on a slip of paper and fold it up, he takes back each paper and after touching each slip to his forhead he tears each slip up.
he then proceeds to name each persons word and wether they are living or dead.....

wait for it, he uses the centaur tear..... thankyou please.

I imagine they will do some sort of trick using horse blindes with mirrors on the inside. 'And now leighdes and gentlemare's (i already hate myself for the horrible punning) 'I will run down this race track and still be distracted by various movements to my left and right.'

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.
