Hello Talk Magic

Hi everyone, I've posted a few times but thought I'd introduce myself properly.
I first became interested in magic as a nipper when I found a little magic shop in my town (Billericay) run by Harry Baron called Kaymar magic. Despite my being a rubbish customer (a ten year old's pocket money doesn't go far) Harry was kind enough to teach me a few simple tricks and point me in the direction of some decent books (including his own!).
I maintained an interest in magic from that point but didn't take it particularly seriously until about two years ago when my girlfriend's dad, handed me a pack of cards at a party and asked me to show them something. I stumbled through a couple of tricks and got a decent reaction but I felt a bit of a fraud.
Since then, I've tried to build my knowledge and devour every book I can get my hands on. Not just 'how to' books but magical histories and biographies. I love close up magic and the magicians that inspire me the most are Lennart Green, Guy Hollingworth and Derren Brown (mainly due to The Devils Picturebook).
I very much enjoy browsing through TM and am looking forward to getting to know you all in the future.
