Lost and found

Postby taneous » Nov 3rd, '04, 09:40

I was given a magic book when i was a kid, which went missing about 18 years ago. I have recently tried to find it but didn't know the name or the author - I spent days searching on the net - but nothing came up.
Last night I described the book to someone at the magic circle meeting - and they had the same experience with the same book - the only difference being, they knew the name and author of the book. It turns out it is "The big book of magic" by Patrick Page. I'm really happy to say that i ordered it this morning :D
I guess it's more a sentimental thing than anything else - but I'm really excited about it and had to let someone know :)

It hasn't arrived yet - but I'll let you know when it does. I found a picture of the cover the other day and it brought back a whole lot of memories.
When I was a kid magic was an escape that helped me through quite a tough time and that book was the center of it. I remember reading it when i should've been studying for exams. Anyway - we'll see when it arrives. I'm glad I could track it down eventually..

Books such as the one in question contain so much...You just have to read them and put away your ideas of the need for everything to be complex. Simple tricks oftentimes make the strongest miracles. I think you'll be very pleased with this book while you read it with your adult eyes! :P
