Just Routine By Jon Thompson http://www.lulu.com/content/4382941

The Effect :Just Routine contains three strong and reassuringly mature multi-phase routines, which develop the concept of partially stacked stripper decks I first explored in the book "Stripped and Stacked".

The Broken Deck” revolves around the idea of a deck being somehow faulty. No matter what the performer does, the same card keeps appearing at points in the deck designed to be as random as can be.

“The Right Envelope” is about a long chain of randomness leading to a sealed prediction that has been in the spectator's possession all along. Finally,

“Your Card” begins as a cheap trick but soon descends into the strange, psychological world of muscle reading - but without the risk of failure.

Contains full details of all the stripper deck sleights you'll need.

Cost £5.99

Difficulty 1-3
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

Review : Let us get the negative stuff out of the way first (Thinking!!!!!), ok now for the rest of it.
When I first saw the “Your Card” on the list of effects my initial thoughts where to go to Morrison’s and get a large wet fish to slap Jon round the head with. Another “Your Card” routine do we need that? The fish would have cost £12.99 ( it was a big fish) So I decided to pay the £5.99 for the E-book and read it for myself.

The main advertising blurb for this little number does not give it justice I wont go through each routine but all are workable and in my view be a mind blower in the right hands. What I will say is I’ll be using these at Halloween especially “The Right Envelope” with bats and skulls on the prediction it’s worth £5.99 just for that routine alone but don’t tell Jon I said that he may put the price up ( Ha Ha)

If you already have a stripper deck then no problems, if you do not this book is a good place to start and look at the power of the deck without it costing you to much money. Although I do advise you get “Strip” From BBM see the review here. http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic19790-0-asc-0.php The DVD Comes with a free quality Bicycle Deck no one will ever know. Here is the link for Jon’s work and read the feedback http://stores.lulu.com/booksbytomo.

Ok I could go on forever about this book and Jon’s work in general but I’ll let you all decide for yourselves happy reading.

Overall I am going to rate this 5 out of 5 because I cant fault it in anyway, good routines and value for money. And saved me buying a Big Fish!!

Take care all.

I'm not quite sure how I missed this, but thanks for the review! I did the whole book on Saturday afternoon to get into the mood for a booking at a friend's dinner party and it really does play out, um, long and hard, if you catch my drift.

I'm also not sure how you guessed my secret desire to be hit around the head with a wet fish!

It's a strange one, and no mistaking. It's been selling steadily despite having no publicity. I've even had a couple of extra routines sent in by people.
