Considering how many registered members there are on TM, it's amazing how few of them actually post here on a fairly regular basis. Out of over 13,000 members, I can probably recognise only fifty or so (by username if nothing else).

The vast majority of those 13,000 seem to have registered but never posted. A few years ago there was a mass cull of those with zero posts and the total membership dropped down to less than 1,000 - known in the hushed inner sanctum as the Night of the Long Cyber Knives. It's a bit drastic because there are quite a few who register to read only - I just wish they'd post an intro or a few words in one or more of the threads. There are many others who seem to have registered in error, thinking that TM is some other kind of Forum - the dark Magick kind or Magic as in role playing games are just two of the zero post kind in recent months. Apart from that, there are those who register to sell shoes, phones, dodgy DVDs and other stuff.

I think we're all aware of the regulars who post and really support TM with discussion so, at this Festive Time - how's about we offer you all our grateful thanks, Season's Greetings, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and, if only we were all together in one place, we'd buy y'all a drink - honest we would  !

Is there any system of deleting members who have never posted, say after a year?

According to the Forum statistics, out of the 13,000 or so registered members, 5035 have actually made one or more posts.

To be fair I read loads of threads before posting. I used it as a resource for ages. Luckily I began posting & feel quite at home here now.

me too

my issue was that although i could ask questions and got nice answers, my knowledge of the subject wasn't enough to join in debates / discussions.

its slowly improving though and my post count is slowly rising!
