I'm with the boys on the font I'm afraid, it's not really because it's too small rather more because it's quite difficult to read and thin on top of a busy background. It might be better if it was on a plain background.

Also I noticed your visited links are green which is pretty much invisible against your background.

I agree the design looks good, however the font is too small for web browsing. In addition to making it bigger, I would further dull back the area behind the text to create a greater contrast.

You need a few pics.

Good luck with it, it certainly has a certain "feel" about it that seems to reflect what you do.

Hi Chris,
One thing I've noticed (though I haven't checked the rest thoroughly) - you've written "Chris is proud to be the only Magician In both the Perfect Wedding Guild."

That's a bit like "what's the difference between a duck?!"

I don't know anything about weddings - perhaps there are two Perfect Wedding Guilds and it just needs an "s" on the end? Or perhaps needs re-thinking a bit.

make sure that you are the only magician on the wooburn list.Ive done around 6 gigs there over the years,( in a different capacity) and each time they have had a different close up performer in the gallery. ( and some were very big names, i can tell you)
also, make sure that you regually check to make sure that you are still the only magician, because at any time, someone else could join. Particualy as you mention that you are the only one. Its almost an open invitation for others to join.or at least try to.

I would say "chris is a member of " and forget the only.It sounds just as impressive to your potential client.

I don't have much time to take a detailed look but it looks like you have keyword stuffing in a black font on black background. That's a very good way to get banned from google and believe me, it's hard to get unbanned

Nice site Chris, although as others have said it is difficult to read!

Love the layout though!

If you ask for opinions - have the good grace to accept the feedback for a start. People are doing you a massive favour. Be more polite to be blunt with you. (note the irony in that statement).

A few things, poor choice of font (mistral?) users will not bother to do what Tomo did, and just click off it and ignore you.

The site suggests to me that you are a mystical/palmist/tarot type reader. Rather than what you actually are. Or rather, so it seems from on here.

Also, if you are responsible for the content, and your grammar and spelling are poor - either pay someone who is good at those things to sort your text for you. I would not employ someone who came across as too lazy to re-read their own text.

Is the BA award for your magic or something else? The trade shows up and down the country are magic events or your day job? I am having trouble working out the ad copy, spin, etc. Full seance party? The guys on the private forums spend years developing this kind of content, just hope you're ready for that...

The feel is nice, and the imagery if very alchemical (which may or may not appeal to the customer base you are courting), but the design is nice; could be improved along the lines of the suggestions from Duplicity, Tomo and others. Just remember, this is the first line of contact for a potential client.
