Hi there guys - newly upgraded lurker here. I've visited the site a couple of times - mostly during breaks at work ;) so thought I'd join in the conversation.

I'm a proper amateur, I can do one trick involving a ciggerette and thats it, so hoping to learn from all you talented people.

:D

hiya, welcome to TM :D

One great book to start out with is Mark Wilson's Complete Course, enough there to keep you going for ages :D

Seconded. And you can pick it up less than fifteen quid.

Hi there.

Magic: The Complete Course by Joshua Jay is also well worth a go (and it comes with a dvd). Really good beginners book with excellent photos... in colour and everything!!

(Lady of Mystery will probably acuse me of heresy for suggesting this over Mark Wilson!!)

Enjoy TM
