who in their right mind calls an after shave... "Hummer"?

( Although the third definition is remarkably apt!)

Thanks Dale.... glad it wasn't just me.

I take it that 'Hummer' has something to do with the brick shaped, overweight, gargoyle car of the same name? If so, does that make it Iconic and Ironic at the same time?

From an ad:

The Hummer cologne adventure begins with a fresh and exhilarating burst of freshness comprised of green foliage, cardamom, thyme, and peppercorns that capture the essence of the outdoors. These lively notes are then melded with a warm, rugged, masculine, adrenaline rush of leather, patchouli, amber, and sandalwood. The smooth richness of tonka bean act as the "axle" that links and balances the fresh and warm notes, creating an olfactory sensation that can only be Hummer. Notes include Peppercorns, Cardamom, Thyme, Green Foliage, Tonka Bean, Leather, Patchouli, Amber, Sandalwood.

Eh? What the **** is a Tonka bean?!?!?

...hope you don't think I'm taking the mickey too much Michael. It's only that the whole 'Hummer' thing has really tickled me for some reason.. I'm sure it smells great.... and god knows I've splashed on some paint stripper in my time (might even have an old bottle of Hai Karate in the cupboard).

:D

I'd been ill the last few days of work before Christmas so returned today to find a number of Christmas presents including a Christmas mug. Just what I need now the seasons over. Also a few festive ales, which is nice now I'm off the the penicillin.

I miss George Carlin...

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.
