Dubious song titles

Postby greedoniz » Feb 9th, '09, 11:36

I've just come across (pardon the pun...you'll understand what I mean in a sec) a song that has maybe the most dubious song title I've ever heard of.

It is a song called "Jerkin' the Dog" by The Foundations

How wrong is that?

Can you think of a worse one?

The Elastik Band had a song called "Spaz". Needless to say, it's not the most politically correct song in the world...

Number forty-seven said to number three:
Youre the cutest jailbird I ever did see.
I sure would be delighted with your company,
Come on and do the jailhouse rock with me.

Assuming of course, that this isn't a mixed-gender jail...

You can pretty much take your pick of Prince songs - Scarlet Pussy, Soft & Wet, Come, Head, I Love U In Me, Horny Toad, etc etc!

I remember listening to a Bluegrass band play a song called My Mother F****d a Mountain Goat. It was one of the funniest things that I've heard for a long time but I've never been able to find any lyrics or music to the song so I'm assuming that it must have been original.

For some reason that remind's me of the lyrics to 'So What' by Anti-Nowhere League. I used to listen to an awful lot of metal and punk, they kind of like to go for the blatently obvious and offensive song titles rather than anything that subtle.

Dunno about dubious but a serious contender for being one of the longest song titles:

HOW COULD YOU BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAID I LOVED YOU, WHEN YOU KNOW I'VE BEEN A LIAR ALL MY LIFE ?

I'm not sure if this is real or an urban myth, but apparently there was once a song titled 'Kick the pregnant'. Couldn't find it though.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

The band was called boulder. American hardcore on shifty records. I think were on tee pee records as well for a while. If I remember rightly John peel once recommended them. Just goes to show nobodies perfect.
