what a weekend!!!

Postby MagicMan43 » Feb 22nd, '09, 21:07

An excellent weekend, all the stars who showed were extremely hospitable, and a joy to meet. i found that Daryl and jeff mcbride were amazing chaps to talk to, as was everyone else who attended.

I didnt meet any talk magic attendees, which was a dissapointment, but all lectures and shows were of excellent standard.

this was my first convention and it was a life experience i wont forget, i will attend next year for sure.

btw wasnt david blain supposed to be there?

laters ppl

I also didn't see any TM members apart from Mandrake and Bananfish ..... I was meant to phone/text Agecroft (Rob), but I got so excited at being let loose at my first time there, I completely lost the plot ..... soz Rob  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I'll tell this story as my mate isn't on here but.....

He walked up to Ammar in the Ruskin with a Camera after Ammar had had loads of people coming up to him for pictures. My mate said, Michael do you mind while handing him his camera. Ammar being a nice chap said sure no problem.

"great, do you mind taking a picture of me and my mate!" confused Ammar but you'd be pleased to know, he takes a good shot!

:D

Ahh moonbeam I saw you having that picture taken with Paul Wilson! I thought he was swearing at the camera at first and had to take a closer look, sorry if it looked like some weirdo was watching you having you picture done!

Note the TM badge proudly on display (cheers Mandrake for the text message  ).

I do wonder about one thing .......... are there any 6 ft+ magicians out there ?? I'm 6 ft 3 ish (not exactly a giant) and I tower over most of them in the piccies, especially Marc Oberon and Dan & Dave  .

Moon, that's cos they are little bu**ers. I walked round for 3 days, as Agecroft, Mark and Lawrence will testify, with the TM badge on, and never saw another one :? That is, another TM badge, not another Agecroft, Mark or Lawrence, believe me, one of each is enough

As for the best trick of the weekend, ask Lawrence how I made his kneecap disappear with DNLPVBT (Distance Neuro Linguistic Programing Via Blue Tooth).

Best part of the weekend, a lie in in tomorrow morning  Oh, and Jeff McBride begging me to have a picture taken with him
