Can YOU help? TV or DVD clip of two magicians touring USA.

Postby Paul Gordon » Mar 3rd, '09, 16:48

Dear Anyone,

I'm trying to locate a DVD (or clip thereof) of two magicians touring the USA meeting top magic stars. Was it Lee Asher? Not sure! Anyway, I'm looking for the one where Harry Lorayne was interviewed and showed some magic. Was it shown on SKY TV?

Please email me here: pgmagic@btinternet.com

Thanks, Paul Gordon

was that like the penn and teller world tour thing?

( which had some very nice close up footage on it)

oh, and there was a sky show that had a history of magic theme. ( I think it was called the secrets of magic...but it wasnt a reveal show)
one of the episodes had richard turner, and Martin Nash doing their thing.
Ive got it on vhs.

Pete and Ali certainly did that tour (2005?) although I'm still unsure why it was called Secrets of Magic as they gave no secrets away :D ! They met John Gaughan and Gaetan Bloom amongst many other icons of magic and Ali did a superb Three Shell routine in New York. Check out http://www.alicook.com/ for some details.

Update - there's a YouTube clip which is referred to by David Britland's Cardopolis website as being from that Objective Productions series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YwMoeOdGzE

BLACKSTONE'S CARD AND NUMBER
The following trick is the subject of an interesting thread on the Genii forum about a performance of Harry Lorayne’s that is currently on You Tube. The trick in question begins at 00.32 on the video. The footage is from The Secret World of Magic, a show I helped develop with Objective Productions, in which magicians Ali Cook and Pete Firman toured the world in search of great magic. They certainly found it. Harry Lorayne is one of my favourite performers.

Wiseguy magic at it's best!

He's got a great accent....they re-released some 80s tapes of his on one dvd, that's fantastic...all taught at lightining speed too...

i can see him hustlin' the street corners as a kid...

he's kinda funny on the ma**c c*fe too when he argues over who invented what...
