My thoughts, wishes and hopes are with him and his family at this very sad time. Let's hope he recovers very quickly.

Some details HERE.

According to Richard Kaufman his right side is paralysed and he's having trouble speaking.

However, being Ali, he's still entertaining all the other patients in hospital!!
Never changes, that guy.....

Get well soon Ali.

He'll be alright, French healthcare is pretty darn good... he will have to take his tablets in suppository form though...

The Magic Circle have released a statement today which confirms that Ali did suffer from a stroke and that he is waiting to be repatriated to London.

Well wishers can email their regards or send get well cards to d.krellenstein@free.fr

Ali Bongo Update....

Postby Les Williams » Feb 18th, '09, 19:16

I have Just recieved a telephone call fro Alison Ali's niece, with an update i didnt want to keep her on the phone too long, but you'll be pleased to know Ali is now in St Thomas's Hospital in London and although he is still in a bad way, today he tried to speak a good sign.

Ali's next door neighbour stewart is going round his home daily and picking up all the cards and well wishes, and passing them on to Ali in hospital, so cards can be sent to his home or well wishes can be sent via his email address.

We wish you a speedy recovery Ali

Terrible news I'm afraid - I have just had an announcement from someone that knows Ali well that he died at 9am this morning. A sudden a terrible loss for his family, friends and the whole magic world

He was a big part of my magic life.
I'm sure countless magicians would say the same.

Rest in peace Big Man.
