Sorry, as ever, if this has already been covered but if you use Twitter, Merchant of Magic have a competition at the moment in which by using a certain code in a tweet message you automatically get entered into a weekly draw.

Guess what? I won! A £30 goody bag for nothing. Thank-you Merchant of Magic.

Next week's prize is White Star.

Remember...you've got to be in it to win it...

Of course I don't know what my goody bag has in it yet. Could be ten TTs or something!

Good luck anyway.

The package was in fact bloody brilliant.

I got Flash Playing Cards, Compression DVD and a mentalist effect called The Condemned (which on their site you won't find on a search as they have mis-typed it as Condemed). By my maths that's £53 worth of stuff, just for sending a simple message.

Extremely happy bunny.

It depends what you want to gain from it all

It's a pretty addictive communication tool once you start following people (I follow my friends — obviously — and I also follow a number of people I "look up to" in the web/media industry and celebrities I like. You can find a list of slebs at valebrity.com, who really do their stuff when it comes to confirming the people are who they say they are)

It's also a pretty ace marketing tool. I have my own 'professional' account (@clairstweet) which I use for that, but most people like to mix their personal and professional stuff together. Spamming your wares really isn't the way to go, but rather it's excellent for networking

Technically, it's buggy as hell. But nobody cares and every web developer wishes they came up with the idea themselves :)
