Dont knock the fearson technique. its fairly easy to set up, reliable, and if a thread breaks, its much easier to set up again than taking apart a gadget...

As far as I can see, the main selling point from the Tarantula demo video (which was also fairly abstruse - you never get to see the full routine, do you... ) was the spinning ring thing.

You can do that with the Fearson hook-up (infact, it uses the Fearson hook-up even with the tarantula) but without splashing on an expensive item with expensive refills.

Bit of a no-brainer, I'd say...
