Hi all you magic buds,

I know this question may come up all the time, but please may I have views on Spiderpen and Tarantula.
I have no effects of this nature in my magic box and am currently torn as to whether to purchase the Tarantula or Spiderpen.
Please advise advantages and disadvantages and also the most suitable for a variety of effects.
Please could you give me your opinions.

As for the two I have both and to be honest I use them both for different things it really depends on what you want to achieve. In my opinion both gimmicks are very flimsy so you have to be careful with them both. I do also think the dvd with the tarantula really helped and it would have benefited to do the same with the pen IMO. I am enjoying using Hover at the moment one of the effects of of the tarantula dvd but I prefer performing it with the spider pen its just generally easier. Both gimmicks are as good as each other really its just some effects are easier with the pen and some with the tarantula. I personally don't think ones better than the other but it just gives me an extra angle on the thread work I do. It really depends on what you want to achieve.

Sorry Lindz. I'm brand new at posting anything realy and kind of assumed all are magicians on here. I completely understand exposure so I have re-edited this post.
Thanks for the advise thus far. Very useful. I guess in the longrun they are both different effects.
I guess it's like saying what's better a ghost deck or stolen cards are both involve a deck but completely differing effects.

They are not 2 different effects, essentially they are the same thing but they do the same job in a different way, hope this makes sense.

Well, you should first take a look here and then post properly here ... and try to stick with correct topics in the forum. Otherwise it will all be a great big kerfuffle.
