Hi, im blubird and I just found this site by chance whilst browsing.

Im glad I did!

I co-founder of a web site and forum called Dark Castle Investigations.
Im not plugging by the way LOL

We are a paranormal investigation group BUT were NOT the same ilk as Most Haunted and most of the other ghost hunting groups around.

What we do is look deeper into the psychological and scientific aspects of paranormal experiences.
We do investigations but with a twist.
What we look at is how people react psychologically in this particular environment.
We are finding now that alot of what goes on is coming from peoples minds! Were not saying people are mad but that because they want to believe so strongly any anomally is taken for something paranormal without question.
But we beg to differ!

We have based some of our many experiments from a mentalist stand point although we are very new to this aspect and are still coming up with ideas.

It is very interesting that the majority of magic and mentalist approaches can be reproduced in a paranormal environment and people genuinly believe its down to a ghost.

As a group we have certainly experienced some things which even we with our logical approach cannot be explained, but were still trying to!!

I look forward to reading the posts on here!

I appreciate your point of view I was thinking of following after Houdini and debunking frauds.

That is until I took a look a the legal system and decided I just want to learn how they do it so I'm not fooled... which turned into, 'Wow that is really cool can I do it?"

That would be where I am now feel free to drop me any pm's if you need help investigating.

Thanks for your offer of help, maybe well take you up on that!!!!
At first when we started doing ghost hunts we were very sceptical about the hole ghost thing.
Now because weve done quite a few were even more sceptical LOL
There are quite a few people who are out there to try and debunk frauds which is a great thing to do, but I think its like fighting a losing battle.

I think like you the best way to approach all this is to do as you say and learn how to do it so your not fooled, and then pass your knowledge onto other people!

When we do our investigations were not out to debunk or disprove, to be totally honset i dont think the paranormal will ever be proved or disproved as its in the minds of the beholder!
But what we can do is throw out all the c*** (not the best) until what your left with is something which is unlitmatley unexplainable!

This is where we get our interest in magic and mentalisum.
While weve been investigating its brought us into the realm of magic and weve seen so many things which can be used in the mediumship world.

They are so similar its unbelievable! The one big difference is the fact that magicians/mentalists dont proclaim to be psychic!!!!

Youll see from our web pages were out to find something tangible and credible in the paranormal field.

Were not people who will tell you and orb is the first part of spirit manifistation LOL
No, what we will do is look at any photograph and expertly assess it and then give our genuine opinions on it.

If we think its unexplainable then we will say, but if we think its dust etc etc then we will also say it!
We have obtained a wealth of knowledge through experimentation and hard work and are probably the only truely sceptical scientific investigation group out there!

Checked out the website and loved it. Will have to join you on an invest and lets get seriously debunking the mediums hahaha. I've seen paranormal investigators using red cotton on infrared cameras because it can't be seen on infrared! Great for false activity like Most Haunted and Del Acorah.

Any recommendations on locations?

Hi Simon. If you ever get the chance to go on a ghost hunt at Dudley Castle, I'd highly recommend it. Another good location is a place called Middleton Hall which is near Tamworth. Both locations are obviously in the midlands, but if you're willing to travel they're well worth it.

Yes Middelton hall is a fab venue...thats wer ther olde magical nites took place...was fab!
