Damn. I am going to the Festival the afternoon before and sadly a major project at work means I can't take the Friday off. Have fun anyway. I'll try not to start a run on the really good stuff on the Thursday.

I think I'm on a sort of holiday in Yorkshire. If I'm back I'll pop up, it's been too long. Mind you the events of the last one I attended still haunt me.

I'm working in our London office (Chancery Lane) on the 28th and 29th so if anyone is out and about for a drink on the evening of the 28th (i realise it's a school night) give me a shout.

google says this is 26 minutes from work, this is acceptable. unfortunatley it is in the opposite direction to the travelodge i was planning on staying in but will hunt out something cheap (is there such a thing?) in the more local area.

i think, but you'll have to check, the Strand Palace directly opposite do rooms for 40-50 quid if you book in advance/online

28th 29th I should be in London those two days as well
Lawrence, if you can find a hotel less than £80 a night let me know and I'll book the same one as you as long as its central!
And I've never found the strand palace at less than £85 unfortunatly, would always stay there if only £40-£50 - very nice it is (well, pleasent for a london hotel though rooms are small)

If Chancery Lane is the whereabouts then we could go to the Penderal Oak on Holborn.
It's a massive pub, it's only 320 metres up the road from Chancery Lane, only 10 mins from my work and the booze is very very cheap as its a dirty whetherspoons

It's an idea
