Well I have done it again....gone and hurt myself....as much pain as I am in it is all rather funny now.
Before I start may I explain that we have one of them old bathrooms doors where to lock you push the handle down but if you do this when the outside handle is down you remain locked in the bathroom.
Anyways I darted upstair to empty one bladder and pulled the dor shut and locked it un aware of the possition my nan had left the outside handle.
I turned washed my hand (always wash, it helps stop swine flu) and the door would not open...after several very lous F in hells I hunted the bathroom fro a sharp object ....... TO TAKE OF THE DOOR HANDLE....but the next problem is a three tear door handle and locking mech....meaning both handlesm ust be removed to make the locking mechanism turn.
I re attached the handle and waited 60 mins untill my blood was boiling knowing my nan would not be home for another 6 hours.....
Ahh a window I thought to myself....ooo and a drain pipe just a a small stretch if I where to be standing on the window seal.....so I went for it and........ I got it slid down it tottaly un injured untill about a metre from the bottom....
I thought to myself shud I jump then I said to myself no I mgiht hurt my self.....I slid down another 3 quarters of a metre and took a chunk out of my right foot which instnatly poured blood....luckily a thick chunky flap of skin (sorry if your eating) remained so I stupidly washed the c*** (not the best) out witha hose (shouting more evil words) and pushed the wedge back into place....now disinfected nd bandaged up I hope it heals.
Anyway TTFN untill the next time I do something stupid and pay for it accordingly.

Sounds to me like your nan is a practical joker. I'd keep a close eye on her if I was you; old ladies are not as innocent as they appear to be.
I managed to lock myself in a friend's bathroom, many years ago. I nearly dislocated my shoulder trying to barge the door open and then got groin sprain when attempting to kick the door down. I tell you something, doors are not as flimsy as they appear to be in films. No, sirree.

Tell me about it I tried one shoulder barge then realised I was trying to go throuugh it the wrong way (as in I would have pushed it the way it did does not open...hope that last bit makes sense.
Replicant...try the window if there ever is a next time....
And yes Nans are very devious you never expect them

I had the pleasure of working as an auxilliary nurse in an old people's home many years ago. What an education that was! We forget, old people were young once and are just as good at mischief as everyone else, despite looking all innocent. You would be surprised at some of the antics they got up to. Would make a sailor blush. I know I was shocked more than once. Great fun though and never a dull moment. I really enjoyed that job.
