Greeny & Slimy II...?

Postby Farlsborough » Jul 21st, '09, 17:36

Please Mandrake...?!

Because I got a total bargain in TK Maxx today (a kitchen knife), the joy of which was totally spoilt by coming back to find a guy slapping a parking ticket on my car. "I'm afraid it's been issued now sir." :x

Let's hope that when he comes into A&E after someone's given him a kicking in a fit of parking ticket rage, and it's one hour after I was supposed to end my shift, I'm feeling a bit more charitable

Ah, but you must have been parked illegally so the ticket was justified, no?

Was the knife one of those ninja-sharp, Japanese ones? They're excellent and well worth the money, even more so if you got it at a bargain price. My wife buys loads of clothing from TK Maxx and sells it on eBay for a nice profit. I've never understood why people don't just go there themselves instead of getting it off eBay. Probably because it's easier to buy stuff online; they don't have to get off the sofa that way.

It is!

Another reason to be G&S - I've just taken a chunk out of my thumb with my vegetable slicer thing. Hopefully the potatoes dauphinoise I was making with it (to accompany steak) will make it all worthwhile.

I know someone who's going to be somewhat green and slimy for a few days until the Tamiflu kicks in. A certain Birmingham mind botherer with very nice glasses.

Where I work, someone on the upstairs floor has been sent home for the Piggy Illness. Weirdly, the callcenter now has a contract for the Swine Flu helpline thing for Englandshire...
