Hi All I've recently taken an interest in Mentalism and was wondering if any of you good people could suggest any good DVD's or book's to get me started. :)

You'll probably notice soon that this has been asked several times before, Corinda's 13 Steps is the usual springboard for all things mentalist. Also check out Craig Browning's essay on Becoming a mentalist (use our Search feature to track it down - it's well worth it!) and there are several other threads which would help you. Again, the Search function, weak as it may be, will be a big help - best of luck!

PS You will probably also reaslise that on TM there are some very strongly held and very positive opinions about Mentalism. Take note of them all, they're valid and extremely valuable  !

I thought it probably has been asked before but couldn't really find anything in the search. Thanks for your help, and advice.

No worries, there's a lot of advice, hints and tips here, not all that easy to find but well worth the search. And it's all free :D !

LOL! Well said. Everyone's an expert. Even me, a noob :D

You've picked a big and addictive (obsessive) subject to learn about liverpool 7. As Mandrake said, Corinda is probably the one everyone will tell you to buy. Craig's essay is a must read. Oh, Mandrake said that too. Erm, ok.

Many will tell you DVD's are of limited value. You get far more for your money from books. If you want a cheap, very easy book on Mentalism to set you off, you could try Karl Fulves Self-Working Mental Magic. It's only around £5 on Amazon and contains some lovely effects suitable for a beginner.
