Sunday there was a night of magic, managed to fit in Bamboozlement!, Pete Firman then Ian Kendall
Bamboozlement! show what can I say you guys were in total control of the crowd, couldnt believe how close your stage was to the audience. A great mixture of traditional magic with some mentalism thrown in. When you pulled the nails out for hammering into your nose that poor woman was like ohhh. The comedy moments were fabulous as were your costumes oh almost forgot the facial hair
How you managed to wear those costumes in that heat is beyond me!!!
Pete Firmans Show First time I had seen him live in person and I loved his performance, a real great mix of normal magic and * take (can I say that) His sleight of hand movements in doing the vanishing coins was amazing, very well worked. His end of show stunt swallowing a load of sewing needles and thread had the crowd cringing in there seats was wonderful!! Even had my 5 minutes of fame up on the stage with him, joys of sitting front row and getting picked
Ian Kendall - By the time I had got to this show I was a bit tired, but again managed to get into the front row for what Ian described as his last fringe show
Ian went straight in with a bit of mentalism in getting a participant to pick a card out of the picture routine which worked very well even though he didnt once talk whilst doing it with good reason

He then explained his orgins of working on the mound back in the olden days of the fringe showing how he did street performances.
His skills are undoubtedly excellent in managing to complete a mental trick within 4 mins odds if he didnt manage it he would have had to give up a tenner, I was the official timer for that gag
His card management/sleight of hand was fantastic and with him standing so close to the audience made it so much better. Bloke behind me was nearly wetting himself with all the tricks.
If you ever get the chance to see any of these guys in action, do it!!
