Agree about the giraffe and chair routines.....fantastic! The wife picked giraffe as well.

All in all, better than last week's but I still hold out some hope that these are all building towards a big finale

btw - I didn't stick, either!

there are a couple of really interesting possibilities. what if a stuck-at-home person's TV broke before the unsticking, leaving them stuck to their chair for ever, slowy staving only to be found months later as a desiccated cadavar?

Or a fire

Or aliens came bursting through the door and committed horrible experiments on the immobile individuals

someone call the lawyers while I watch The Manchurian again

Aporia, I think the absolute worst case scenario would be that they would fall asleep and be fine when they woke up.

I felt like we were being fed stuff for something else. The "keep calm" messages had some odd ones in: "this is a first", "congratulations"... were there any others that seemed a bit out of place?

then the only thing left is the method.

No sticking for my mate and I.

My wife went out but I am sure she would have been more suggestible. Is it going to be repeated?

What this reminded me of was a 'Nationwide' (one for the teenagers) item from the 70s at the height of Gellermania.

A cove with a bushy white beard asked viewers to place items of cutlery and stuff on top of their TVs while he exercised his mysterious talents. The BBC switchboard went into meltdown as viewers called in with stories of cutlery and jewellery bending, clocks stopping, radios turning on and even the clips in someones false teeth bending.

At this point the bearded chap revealed himself to be the then-unknown psychic debunker James Randi and said that he had done absolutely nothing.

My take on this? Some people are just attention-seeking liars, but many, like Fox Mulder, just want to believe.[/i]
