Hello again - packet trick

Postby katrielalex » Feb 11th, '05, 10:23

Hi!

I've ordered the Oz Pearlman DVD (as per recommendations from here!) but I was also looking for a good packet trick. How does Twisted Sisters sound?

Thanks,

Kati

Twisted Sisters is very good as is John Allen's 'Double Back' and Gary Freed's 'NFW!' is a sure fire stunner if you can do the required 'move'. There are reviews and many comments here on all three effects so you'll be spoiled for choice - happy searching!

Twisted Sisters, although I don't have it, is wicked... however save yourself a bit of money and learn the Colour Monte... don't tell anyone but I learnt it from the demo vid on Penguinmagic. Instead of their 'diamond' cards, I use an ace, two jokers  and the QH.

I keep these cards in my wallet at all times, and they are thoroughly examinable!

If I may suggest Color Fusion (reviews available on this forum) which I find fits very nicely into the routines that Oz teaches in his DVD. Use a taught palm from the DVD to introduce the color fusion card (hope I can say that without giving anything away) and then you're away. Saves having to change deck for a packet trick.

However, Twisted Sister is a stunning effect and I've never known an audience to not have a strong reaction to this. It's my favorite packet trick!

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Thanks a lot! Twisted Sisters seems to have a good response, so I have ordered that :P.

As far as packet tricks go I would recommend twisted sister if its something that interests you. I have this trick and I love performing it because of its versatility and the fact that it has 3 climaxes each one building upon the other. Other great packet tricks include unconquered card. Color Monte is a good trick but as said in another post that it is more practical to just use regular cards and modify it a little bit to use it as an impromptu routine.

Hope this helps
