What would you take?

Postby Jordan C » Mar 6th, '05, 11:23

Ok here's the scenario. You've gotten into a bit of trouble and need to leave the country fast. All you can take is clothing and ONE of your treasured effects. Which effect would you take and why?

I would take In A Flash. Its visual, powerful and comes with a flash pad meaning there are other effects I could do so call it the Bargain effect if you like- lol

I would take a pack of bikes and 1 single elastic band, with that, i can do a 5 minute ambitious card routine, and it can be done anywhere.

I'd agree with Magic Mark. A pack of ungimmicked bikes would be far more versatile than a gimmicked deck

It depends where I am going I think, if it was somewhere I could buy cards I would probably just take a book! Otherwise just like the last two, some ungimmiked cards.

COIN FUNNEL!!!!!!!
Why can we only take clothing and 1 effect? Why not ditch the clothing and take some more stuff?

I hope you people appreciate how difficult it is for me to avoid riffing on this ^ subject.

I'd probably take 'Deep Astonishment'.

(Hmmm no clothing. So where would you attach your Topit then? And where would you ditch a TT - in your navel?)

If I really had to choose just one item, I'd probably cheat (no, geddaway, how shocking) and take the deck of cards and card trick book which came as one item a while back. That way I get the cards and the routines etc. :D

I'd take this box/table I'm busy working on for my kid's show. It has a sign that keeps on falling off and is quite funny. The coolest thing about it is it also contains all my props - and has space for books and other goodies. So - that'd be the one effect I take...
But if that's considered cheating - I'd take my swami gimmick. I know - not an effect, but a very useful little piece of equipment :)

I would take my pack of bicycles. There is more than enough stuff out there to do impromptu stuff with. Taneous? would you really leave poor Mr Squishy?

Definitely - I'm tired of him stealing my show. He's become much more popular than me and not once has he ever credited me with actually finding him. Besides - he's on strike at the moment because his younger cousin, "Mr Squashy", got TV coverage before he did.

(for those of you who are wondering - Mr Squishy is the character from my sponge ball routine for kids. A clown nose that keeps on interrupting my show - kind of a running gag.)
