I wonder if I could hijack this thread and ask for any comments on computer monitors.

My old CRT monitor has just keeled over and died. I have a spare CRT which I'll be setting up as soon as I can be bothered to drag it down from the top of the house. But it might be time to start thinking about buying a replacement.

I know absolutely nothing about any of these modern flat monitors, except that they all seem to be horrendously expensive. Given that it will be used mainly for internet, word processing, graphics, and video editing, and at an arm's-length distance on a crowded desktop, does anyone have any recommendations?

Yeah school boy error with the sales person I hold my hand up there. She was a stunner though!

I did do some review searching on the internet and a few came back the same as the sales person and she's pleased with it.
