This looks like an awesome effect, but I usually try and stay clear of gimmicks (I may be wrong, but I'm assuming that there are gimmick(s) involved) ...... so I've really only one question:

How examinable are the cards ??

EDIT: Available at: http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=2010

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I should imagine that the cards are almost examinable.but this isnt an issue if played correctly, because....

( a joker is thrown, which can be removed)

and in the most part the cards are handled by the spectator.

( conditioning them to believe that they are clean)

I notice that in the video the card landed on the fan, rather than in the fan. But this may be one of those things.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Looking at the trailer I would imagine the cards are fully examinable. Can't see any need for a gimmick with this effect. Just lots of practice.

I just bought the instant download, and here is my take on the effect:

1. Luke teaches two different methods to perform the trick. One uses a gaff, and the second does not. Construction of the gimmick is covered in the download.

2. In both methods, the card throw and fan-catch are completely real. You will have to learn how to do it. Luke gives tips on how to make it happen. This is not something that you can pick up and do in 5 minutes. you will have to practice the throw and catch quite a bit to become effective and fluid. (unless you are freakishly coordinated)

3. Both methods are inspectable.

4. The non-gaff method can be done completely impromptu with a borrowed deck.

Overall, I believe that it is a good effect for $10. It takes some practice to get down, but it is worth the effort. The patter is very straight forward, and the effect gets great reactions. Spectators get that completely dumbfounded look on their face. Like I said, worth the $10. but if you don't have the time/desire to learn the toss, give this one a pass.

Nope, completely unintentional, but thanks for pointing it out!
