Hi, this is my first post. Yesterday at my university this duo http://married2magic.com/mindtripping.html came to do a show.

It was quite impressive. This guy walked up to me and asked me to pull an item out of my pocket while his parter was blind folded on stage. Simply by pulling a very small bottle of an energy drink(shot size) from my pocket, she was able to predict the item I had in my hand at a good distance. I was thinking that this had something to do with a third person in the crowd using some type of microphone to her some how...but in some cases, she predicted numbers off a drivers license, where a third party simply wouldnt have access....

So, I began googling around looking for some explanations. Curious if anyone has any insight on this style of magic?

There are a number of techniques that could have been employed for this type of act. You won't find any exposure on this site, I'm afraid but you'll find lots of pointers towards sites and products that can help you with your performance....

You may want to look into "Two Person Telepathy." Certainly a possible solution.

Well, yes, probably a dozen different ways these things can be done. And by the sounds of it they were using a combination of several. Good for them - sounds like they did a good job. And hope this has interested splices0 enough to go in search of the answers. It's a long journey but full of rewards!
