To celebrate the release of my new e-book, Book 1: Missing Pieces, a collection of real world material, including my close up acaan, impromptu ace assembly and a great all the same routine. Also contains a few pipe dreams and minuscule items such as card spins and colour changes.
I'm going to be giving away free copies to the first ten people who can answer this question, and no cheating!
It is often thought that prices of items in shops, such as 5.99, or 1.99 is purely psychological, to make it appear items are cheaper than they actually are. This is true but there is another reason why shops charged the odd amount. Do you know what it is?
Hint: it is something to do with old cash registers.

Please note, a lot of people give away there e-books in return for good reviews. If you win a book, I won't expect you to review it - let alone read it.
Best Wishes,
Matt Colman
