I have picked up a version of Mark of the Pirate by JoeGattis.
It consists of a deck of cards and one with a X on it's backside. It also has a white hankie with another X on it. The problem is that I picked it up on ebay and the only instuctions that came with the trick are the "effects" details. Nothing about how the trick is done or how it begins. It does indicate that somehow the X on the hankie disappears and shows up on the back of a card.
If I'm over stepping my boundries here let me know, but does anyone have an idea how this trick is played out? I have been a helplessly creative and passed the trick off as just a "Pirates treasure" trick and used the X card as just a top card for the chosen card that was picked..." Oh, look heres a card with a X on it, so your card must be under the Pirate'sX!".....boring...zzzzzzzzz
That's hardly helpfull or constructive If you have something against the effect wouldn't it be better to say why ??
sonny i think i see were you got the idea from re haunted key post
zack an inocent comment like this can spread very quickly as it will be picked up by newer members who think thats how we conduct owerselves, for shame zack your more experienced.

having a bad hair day (see haunted key post), just lost my classic palm.
sonny i'll check my archives but havant heard of this effect in that form exactly but if you know now how its done then the story should practical write itself, just go throught he routine and make any notes regarding the thoughts you have as you do it.
things like why and whats my final point will help you on your way to good patter lines.
