The Effect

A shoelace , cup and cloth are displayed. You thread the shoelace through the cup handle and thread the lace through a hole in the cloth

ImageImage

The cup is covered and you give the lace to the person to hold, you put your hand under the cloth and instantly bring out the cup. It appears to have penetrated the shoelace. All props are handed out for examination.

Cost

£25 http://www.jbtv.co.uk or ask your local dealer

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

3 (some people may think 2)

Review

erm.... It is good but there are problems. If you have small hands then this is not really for you. I think the method is too easy to work out (IMHO). It is a good effect for children i suppose. You need to practise a bit though and be careful when you suspend the cup by the string. I have not really used as often as i thought i would so i am not that keen.

Having said that i am sure that some people will love it. If you want to see it in action then the link above has a video demo. I think you will either love it hate it.

Overall

6/10
