gamblers flat palm

hi, im having trouble with the Gamblers flat palm. iv been going through Allan ackermans "palming" dvd which has a very precise and broad context in this area. now he uses the GFP in it but dosnt let you know how he holds it. what i mean is he shows you how to transfer to it from the magicians palm and back, but when he is in position he is able to lift his hand up off the table, not that you would want to do this in performance but it allows more controll. this controll he has allows him to move to tenkai without any hinderance. now my question is is it held tight to the top of his palm with his little finger or is it a Tenkai at 90degrees(aka flat to the palm). any help will be appriciated. thanks M Grant.

Tight to the top of palm with base of pinky/ring or pinky/middle depending on size.

Dear Martin,

Page fifty-six of Expert Card Technique includes an illustrated explanation of the position of the card for the 'GFP' - this may help you to determine exactly where to place it.

Best wishes,

Max.
