I was thinking more in terms of on stage act. I'm going to have to get myself a manual on how to build fast change cases and woman in half type boxes etc and do some more research.

I got hold of Lady of Mystery and we're discussing ideas. And I shall take a look at your links Lee when I get back home later!! :)

Feel free to com along some time, we have stage magic & walk around magicians, comedians, house band, and of course BURLESQUE.

I recon a good old fashioned victorian bells and tambourine spirit cabinet Routine, would be excellent for Burlesque.

I'd love to do a "Demonstration of the Work of Monsieur Messmer" at a Burlesque show. Open to invites.

I'm sure there's a place for you in the Burlesque world as a channeller of spirits, Dale. Next stop the Psychic Channel!

But seriously, some companies I know pay good money to people to do what you were doing on Saturday. Think about it.

Count me in for and evening with Mr Bell and Shrimpton - on the understanding that they do both actually keep their clothes on

We have a great night, and the magic works very well with the Burlesque theme, we have had some great magicians (inc Talk magics very Dr Todd last month)

The two really do work together well.

:)

I'm looking forwards to researching this one. In my minds eye I see such great routines that are perfect... but I need to research my eras and stay in line with the era Burlesque represents!!

I've worked with Burlesque artists before and I think it makes a nice mix. Esp as the UK Burlesque roots is not so much to do with ladies taking clothes off but variety acts.

Nail on the head mate. It's kind of Vaudeville, kind of Moulin Rouge, but ALWAYS cabaret-esque/variety-esque... THAT'S BURLESQUE!!!

I'm going to have a bit of time on my hands now to think about this as health issues have forced me to quit my radio show and focus only my health. Watch this space though - budget allowing - 'big ting a g'warn'!!!
