Buzzing!!

Postby cymru1991 » Mar 6th, '10, 01:17

Just got back from watching Derren Brown's ENIGMA live in the Bristol Hippodrome. One word... Amazing!! It's the first time I've seen him live and I would gladly have paid 3 times as much for the privilege. I was going to come on here and talk about the performance, but you know I can't be bothered- Seeing one of my heroes live and having him sign my programme AND the Ace of spades from my bikes whilst having a brief conversation about cards (seriously, Derren is such a gent!) would have been worth it even if the show had been awful. It's just incidental that the performance was mesmerising.. I am buzzing!! :D

I saw this when it was doing the rounds last year and you're right it is a fantastic show. Derren's showmanship is what sells it, a great performer.

he signed my Ace of spades from the deck of bikes I took with me and he asked if I was planning to use it in any routines I had, so I said I was planning on integrating it with something I'd used from 'Devil's picturebook' (suckup that I am!!). He wished me luck and said gave some generally encouraging comments. I managed to get in a quick quick chat about a sandwich routine I had planned also. :D

Glad to hear you had a unforgettable evening !!!! There's nothing better then having an opportunity to talk to someone you look up to and they take the time to listen.
I'm happy for you.
Good luck in your magic journey.
