Comedy Showcase: The Amazing Dermot
Tuesday 09 March
12:35am - 1:10am
Channel 4
A series of one-off comedy specials. A mishap on stage and the resulting court case derails the career of a stage hypnotist. As his wife leaves him, his TV show is cancelled and he goes into rehab, he tries to stop his life falling apart any further - but his enormous ego does not help matters. Rhys Darby stars as the hapless illusionist in a pilot produced by award-winning comedy producer Ash Atalla.
Could this be inspired by "Dr" Jonathan Royale's ego?

I think this is a repeat. Its a bit strange.Amusing, but strange.
If this is a re run, then next week we should get the one off Andy Nyman did.

Not to be confused, I'm guessing, with the comedy pilot Other People starring Martin Freeman as a fallen child star.
