Im going to see derren brown tommorow in northhampton :D YIPPY-KAY-YAY!!!!!!! and I know that theres a magic shop around there as ive been on their website. Except ive forgotten what the shop is called, or what the wwebsite is. Does anybody have any ideas? Please post before tommorow.

sorry guys, as soon as I got back I flew straight to cornwall for a week. But back to derren brown, it was incredible!

Big and bold, jam-packed full of comedy and mentalism and some very memorable effects!

Including... subliminal videos, lying tests, and a very interesting walk across shards of a certain something-something

Whats even more amazing is that after the show I met David Penn in the lobby! He taught me a knew move of his, and signed four 7s from a deck. Then I queued to meet Derren, who was very friendly, he signed the four 8s. Behind him stood Andy-the diamond-Nyman, who was even friendlier, and he signed the four 9s commenting 'Im much better than David Penn' on the back of one!

What a night out. Brilliant.

I was going to ask you that question - is it possible to get his autograph after the show. Wicked. What a result.

Now should I get him to sign one of his books, or a bike box?

2 years ago he signed my copy of pure effect: he crossed out the guy's name on the dedication and put mine name there instead!

Hi I meet Derren after his show in Harlow, there where only 5 others we managed to get back stage, I got him to sign a playing card and my wife got a photo signed.

Also he was asked if he has any books out or if he plans to release any... he said no and he that he dosnt get the time, I suppose he dosn't want everyone knowing about these 2 books!! I should have taken pure effect and handed it to him to sign after he had said that!!.

He also performed blockhead (as he did on tv!) and it prompted me to try this!! I can now do it not sure if i will..but i can

Ive framed the cards, I'm going to try and get as many professional magicians autographs on a set of four cards. Such as the four eights, (spades,clubs,hearts,diamonds). Thatswhat I meant by all four.
And by the way... do you think you could PM on how 'blockhead' is performed and done. Its even more astonishing when you see it performed with a spectator, and close up. It really is fascinating.

It's an effect Derren did in one of his Trick of the Mind shows - he sat at a table, picked up a 5-inch nail and put the sharp end in his nose. Holding it there, he took a hammer and banged the nail into his head, piercing his skull and brain somewhat. It was presented in a mysterious, "This is how I spend my spare time" kind of way.

The guy is nuts.
