Supplies question

Postby Daza XIII » Apr 21st, '05, 07:54

Right then, how to phrase this….
For effects such as spinning a card and having it hover into the air, possibly fly right around your body etc.

Of the three items required I can supply my own playing card obviously but was wondering about the other two items.
Any recommendations on type and/or suppliers for which is the strongest brand and which comes off cleanest with out leaving residue.

I think that should make sense. :?

Your question was a little vague. Are you looking for a reel or just regular it?

If the latter - every magic shop carries both items for under 10 Euros. You can get either individual strands or (a little cheaper) the stuff where you have to separate the strands yourself.

If the former - there were various threads on different reels. Which one to choose depends on what other effects you want to do. I use a regular tboss (the older version). For these items you don't have to worry about separating individual strands, but they are more pricey when it comes to refills ...

Hope that helps ...

rumburak: I think that the question was which is best, not where can you buy it...

I'm afraid that I don't know though...I was just pointing it out :|.

Thanks for the repies.
More than anything I was wondering what brands of "squidgy stuff in tins" have people found to be good. I have a tendency to smudge it sometimes during removal so that it doesn't come off clean. Basically is there a slightly dryer brand.

I have recently played around with the stuff I bought from my favorite magic shop a couple of weeks ago. It initially left residues, but somehow I managed to dry it out. Let it lie in the sun for some time and wrap a lot of IT around it. Refold often.

Eventually, I ended up with a ball of *** that was sufficiently dry to not leave any residues, but was also had a slightly weaker grip. Yes, it went off my pen even before the IT would break (that's a rather new experience for me  )

Hope that helps ... I will continue to play around with it.

P.S. Does anybody use Michael Ammar's P****? I don't like it at all. It appears to be much too sticky in my opinion. OTOH, I have just started experimenting with it.
